Whenever the Bears break out the orange alternate jerseys, they seem to get all-or-nothing results. Here are some of their best and worst moments while wearing the pumpkin-colored uniforms.

Nov. 25, 2004

The Bears wore throwback bright orange jerseys — replicas of Chicago’s 1946 uniform — for a Thanksgiving game at Dallas. Then-rookie quarterback Drew Henson — yes, the Drew Henson — led the 3-7 Cowboys to a 21-7 victory in front of a national TV audience. The Bears offense gained just 140 yards behind Craig Krenzel and Jonathan Quinn.

Nov. 13, 2005

You’d think wearing orange would have made Nathan Vasher a highly visible target, but the Bears cornerback had no problem weaving his way to the end zone on a 108-yard return of a missed field goal that set an NFL record. The 17-9 win over San Francisco gave the Bears their fifth straight victory.

Oct. 29, 2006

The Bears set a franchise record with 24 points in the first quarter and forced five turnovers in a 41-10 rout of the 49ers.
