5 Apple released its latest and much-anticipated operating system, OS X Leopard. Taking its cues from past marketing strategy, the company plans to punish early adopters by dropping the price by 50 percent in a couple of months — and, as with iTunes, it will make users sit through a long upgrade process every two weeks or so.
