Oprah Winfrey: Media mogul, philanthropist … hairstylist.
Winfrey took a pair of scissors to “Million Dollar Baby” star Hilary Swank’s hair for an episode of her talk show to air Friday. “It’s taken months to get to this moment,” Winfrey says, according to People magazine. “It involves a two-time Academy Award winner, a sharp object and me.”
Why the shear madness? Because Swank is donating her hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an initiative supporting women who have lost their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.
On the show, Oprah plans to give 100 viewers 100 makeovers over 48 hours, according to People (this sentence as published has been corrected in this text).
