Men — what a drag!

Ladies, ever wonder what your boyfriend, brother or boss is really thinking? You’re not alone. All-female Latina ensemble Teatro Luna throws down with “MACHOS,” a series of humorous and dramatic vignettes about contemporary masculinity based on interviews with 50 men. The tales range from a young man’s relationship with his dad (a corrections officer), to a guy who cheats on his wife with himself. And yes, the actors perform in drag. 7:30 p.m. Through Dec. 16. $7-$15. Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. 773-878-5862.

Zine scene

Whether you’re an indie comic book nerd or a D.I.Y. arts enthusiast, geek out at the Ephemera Festival, which features zines, comics, handmade crafts and readings by independent and self-published writers. Want to become a little more do-it-yourself yourself? Artists lead demonstrations as well. 11 a.m. Free. DePaul University Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave. 773-325-7346.

Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson

Anne Bancroft died in 2005, but she’ll join you for Dinner and a Movie this week. La Pomme Rouge’s series features classic films, including this week’s flick, “The Graduate,” and half-price bottles of wine. 7 p.m. Reservations recommended. No cover. 108 W. Kinzie St. 312-245-9555.

Common sense

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, it’s time to be grateful for that unexpected raise you got and that parking ticket you didn’t. Continue the cycle of good karma at the Common Pantry Benefit, a fundraiser to fight hunger. Your altruism gets you an Italian buffet, beer, wine and raffle prizes. Hit the cash bar for select half-price drinks and stick around after the party for “Monday Night Football.” 5 p.m. $40 at the door. Joey’s Brickhouse, 1258 W. Belmont Ave. 773-327-0553.

Belly laughs and big shoulders

Have the Monday blues started creeping into your Tuesdays? Revive your sense of humor at Chicago and Comedy, where National Public Radio’s “Weekend Edition” host Scott Simon moderates a discussion with local comics Susan Messing, Tim Kazurinsky, Mike Hagerty and Richard Kind. Presented in conjunction with The Second City. 6:30 p.m. $10-$12. Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St. 312-642-4600.

Wednesday, see four works each by Dmitri Peskov and Dancers and Jon Lehrer’s Lehrerdance. Presented as part of Dance Chicago 2007. 7:30 p.m. $20. Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave. 312-902-1500.
