2006-07: 22-13, 10-8 Missouri Valley.
Coach: Jim Les (84-73).
The skinny: The Braves return two full-time starters and a part-timer who played in every game during a run to the NIT Sweet 16. Scoring leader Will Franklin (14.6) is gone, but senior three-point threats and No. 2 scorers Jeremy Crouch and Daniel Ruffin (13.8 apiece) are back. So is senior forward Matt Salley, who played in all 35 games and was second in rebounds (172) and blocks (23). Ruffin, a preseason first-team all-Missouri Valley selection, paced the Braves with 172 assists and is the nation’s active career leader with 475. Crouch tied for No. 1 in the nation in three-point percentage (83 of 166 for 50 percent). Picked for second behind Southern Illinois in the preseason poll, the Braves need five wins to become the 26th NCAA Division I team with 1,500 victories.
