Does Jessica Simpson have a major disaster on her hands?
The trailer for “Major Movie Star,” in which Simpson stars as a down-on-her-luck actress who joins the U.S Army, is available online — and the early reviews are not good.
Entertainment Weekly called the film “abysmal looking” and asked readers to name all the things wrong with the trailer they could find. Us Weekly asked readers in an online poll if they would go see the film based on the preview. A majority voted no.
Comments on ew.com and YouTube ranged from unfavorable comparisons to Goldie Hawn in the 1980 army comedy “Private Benjamin” to predictions that “Major Movie Star” would sweep next year’s Razzies.
