* Caroline Kennedy, who turned 50 Tuesday, will be featured on the cover of the January/February issue of AARP’s magazine. Kennedy will also receive the magazine’s Inspire Award next week.

* Amy Winehouse has canceled all concerts and public appearances for the rest of the year on doctor’s orders, according to a spokeswoman. Refunds will be given at outlets where the tickets were purchased.

* NBC’s “Last Call With Carson Daly” is about to become the first late-night talk show to defy the writers strike and resume production. Daly, who is not a member of the Writers Guild, will tape new episodes of his show this week for airing next week, NBC said Tuesday.

* Food Network is kicking Emeril Lagasse down a notch. The celebrity chef’s “Emeril Live,” which has been on the air for 10 years, will cease production Dec. 11, a Food Network publicist confirmed.

* Janet Jackson’s as-yet-untitled debut album for Island Def Jam will be released in February. The artist is also prepping a worldwide tour to promote the follow-up to 2006’s “20 Y.O.” The album is being executive produced by Def Jam CEO Antonio “L.A.” Reid, rather than Jackson’s boyfriend, Island Urban President Jermaine Dupri.

* Erik Estrada is back in Muncie, Ind., for training to keep up the reserve police officer status he earned as part of the canceled reality show “Armed & Famous” that aired on CBS early this year. “I hope, 30 or 40 years from now, God willing, that when it’s time to put me in my grave, I’ll go in my Muncie uniform and badge,” he said. An eight-hour monthly service requirement will be waived for Estrada.
