Chicago: Mild at the start with temperatures rising to around 50(degrees) by midday. Strong SSW winds gusting above 30 m.p.h. Scattered showers. Turning sharply colder as winds shift to the NW in the afternoon. Some snow flurries develop late and continue overnight. Lows fall to near 20(degrees).
