3 for all

They’re baaack

Guess who’s back … back again? No, we’re not talking about Slim Shady. Just as we got used to life — and the media landscape — without these three, they’re making news again. [ redeye, tribune ]

Frank Kruesi

Mayor Daley on Thursday named the former CTA chief, a longtime but controversial friend and adviser, to head the city’s Washington office. Kruesi’s new job is to, in Daley’s words, “help make sure our relationship with the federal government is as productive as it can be toward helping to improve the quality of life for all Chicagoans.”

Don Imus

Nearly eight months after he was fired for making racially and sexually disparaging remarks about the Rutgers women’s basketball team, Don Imus went back on the radio at 6 a.m. Monday and vowed he would not say anything like that again. He also introduced two new cast members — a black woman, Karith Foster, and a black man, Tony Powell, both of them comedians — saying they would join him in conducting “an ongoing discussion about race relations in this country.”
