Summary: Even without two starters — Christopher Murry (back) and Anthony Garth (ankle) — the Meteors turned what was billed as a big showdown into a laugher. A 10-0 Meteors run that started in the first quarter and continued into the second put them in control the rest of the way. Meteors guard Jeremy Leonard had as many points — 16 — in the first half as the Rebels’ team.
Top performers: T.F. North — Leonard, 19 points; Marcus Deloney, 12 points, four blocks; Turhon Cora, 10 points; Cain, 11 rebounds. T.F. South — Rajsaun Thompson, nine points, four steals.

Summary: Stevenson finished the first half with a 15-3 run, keyed by five points from guard Kevin Stineman and four points from forward Dylan Richter. The Patriots led 50-30 after three, but Warren opened the fourth on a 13-2 run behind seven points from guard Brandon Paul to cut Stevenson’s lead to 52-43. Stevenson went 16 of 19 from the field in the first half.
Top performers: Stevenson — G Stineman, 23 points; Richter, 22 points. Warren — Paul, 26 points; David Duncan, 20 points.

Summary: Palatine led 32-30 after three quarters, but the Saxons scored the first seven points of the fourth. With 57.1 seconds left and Schaumburg up 41-40, Saxons junior guard Cully Payne nailed a three-pointer, and Palatine never challenged again.

Summary: Lake Forest guard Matt Vogrich’s 16 first-half points kept his team close before a 26-point third quarter gave the Scouts a double-digit lead they never surrendered. Guard Kevin Berardini was 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth to help stave off a Mustangs’ comeback.
