Summary:

Leading 43-44 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Hoffman Estates put the game away with a 13-4 run. Hoffman Estates had also opened the game with a big run, scoring 14 straight points after Conant took a brief 2-0 lead. Conant recaptured the lead early in the third quarter when G Tony Rizzo’s three pointer made the game 31-30, but Hoffman Estates G Luke Mead hit three-pointer of his own later in the quarter to give Hoffman Estates the lead for good (35-33).

Hoffman Estates–Mead, 24 points; Ben Collins, 12 points; Tom Dombrowski, 10 points; Conant–Chris Hoffman, 12 points.

The bonus:

“It was huge and a big momentum swing for us,” Mead said of his three-pointer. “After that, we picked it up definsively, and down the stretch we hit our free-throws.”
