Patrick Swayze (right) has been in town shooting the pilot for the A&E cable drama “The Beast,” about a veteran FBI agent (Swayze) paired with a new partner (played by Travis Fimmel) assigned to investigate him. Depending on when the current writers strike is resolved, the show may be picked up for a full season in 2008. But production could move to Canada, with only exteriors being shot in Chicago.
