IN THE SPOTLIGHT
“Hephaestus: A Greek Mythology Circus Tale”
There are plenty of reasons to toast this mix of acrobatics and ancient Greece, even if Bacchus, the god of wine, is the only mythological dude you know. Lookingglass Theatre Company revives its 2005 production of Tony Hernandez and Heidi Stillman’s circus-theater work, starring members of the Wallenda Family, Cirque du Soleil and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. The show takes the story of Hephaestus to the high wire using traditional circus arts, storytelling, live music and athletic feats.
