*Ford is recalling 1.17 million 1997-2003 E-Series vans, Excursion SUVs and F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks with 7.3-liter diesel engines to fix a sensor that could lead to stalling. 12-16-07
*Volvo is recalling 18,000 2008 V70 and XC70 models because the side air bags may not deploy fast enough. 12-2-07
*Nissan is recalling 653,910 more 2002 and 2005-06 Sentra and Altima sedans with 2.5-liter engines to fix a faulty crankshaft sensor. 11-25-07
*BMW is recalling 29,250 2005-06 5- and 6-Series cars and X5 SUVs powered by V-8 engines to fix an electronic control unit. 10-28-07
*Chrysler is recalling 125,000 2007-08 Sebring and Dodge Avenger cars with 2.4-liter engines to address a problem with the cooling fan motor connector that could lead to engine fires. 10-14-07
*Volkswagen is recalling 340,000 2005-08 Jetta and 2006-08 Rabbit, GTI and R32 cars because the headlights don’t meet federal safety standards. 10-7-07
*Chrysler has recalled 28,755 2007-08 Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee SUVs to replace front-brake parts that could fail because they may be made of the wrong type of metal. 9-30-07
*Toyota is recalling optional “all-weather” floor mats in 55,000 Camry and Lexus ES350 sedans because the mat, if unsecured, could interfere with the gas pedal and lead to a crash. 9-30-07
*Nissan is recalling nearly 420,000 1997-01 Pathfinder and Infiniti QX4 SUVs because of possible corrosion in the fuel-filler tube. 9-30-07
