HIDDEN AGENDA
REDEYE TAKES YOU OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE
ON THE ITINERARY A Thai Hot Compress massage treatment at Soulistic Studio & Spa in West Town. 805 N. Milwaukee Ave., Suite 200. 312-226-7685. soulisticstudiospa.com.
CHECK IT OUT IF YOU … need to chill out, need to warm up or desperately need a vacation but can’t take one.
THE DEETS The Thai Hot Compress treatment is offered as part of traditional bed massages or Thai yoga therapy (a mix of massage, stretching and acupressure). It features medicinal herbs, including kaffir lime, camphor, lemongrass and turmeric, wrapped in muslin, steamed and placed on the body during the massage. Sixty- and 90-minute treatments ($100 and $150, respectively) are available. And considering Chicago’s recent string of subzero temps, they might have to drag you out of the spa’s steam room and 150-degree infrared sauna.
THE PAYOFF Hot and spicy winter therapy.
