New height of walls in the San Francisco Zoo’s big cat exhibit. Before a Dec. 25 fatal attack by an escaped tiger, the walls were about 4 feet lower than national guidelines suggested. Lions and tigers got their first look Monday at the renovated pen. Other changes include new glass barriers and electrified wires.
