*Turning Point of McHenry County will offer Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence-approved training during March. The 40-hour course is required for all those who have direct contact with domestic violence victims through counseling. Call Roz Zarecky at 815-338-8081.

*The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is looking for adult volunteers for Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside and Moraine Hills State Park near McHenry. A workshop for docents to greet visitors on weekends at the Nature Center will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Moraine Hills. A required workshop for new bluebird monitors at both Volo Bog and Moraine Hills will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. March 8 at Volo Bog.
