– What has Brooke Burns been doing since “Dog Eat Dog” went off the air? — Cyndi Brewster, Roswell, N.M.

Two years after ending her stint on that show, the Dallas native had a very close call. She broke her neck in a 2005 swimming-pool accident at her Los Angeles home, and fortunately, she recovered completely. She also credited ex-husband Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”), the father of her daughter, Madison, with being a big source of support to her during her period of healing.

Since then, former “Baywatch” and “North Shore” regular Burns has co-starred as Rebecca Romijn’s sister on “Pepper Dennis,” and she also has made several TV movies including “Murder on Spec” and “Time and Again.” She has another, “Smokejumpers,” coming up later this year.

– On an episode of “Frasier,” did I recognize Shannon Tweed as Dr. Honey Snow, a psychiatrist Frasier dated? A friend of mine says, “No.” — Lori Stewart, Powell, Ohio

Tell your friend, “Yes.” In fact, Tweed played the role in two episodes of the long-running NBC sitcom, first in 1995 and again in 2001.

– I watched the miniseries “Comanche Moon,” and it seemed to have a strange ending with many questions still unanswered. Are they planning another miniseries? — Larry Root, Graham, Wash.

Since the story was written by Larry McMurtry as a prequel to the classic Western “Lonesome Dove,” which also had other spinoffs, certain events that might have seemed to have no conclusion in “Comanche Moon” played out in later tales (“Streets of Laredo,” “Dead Man’s Walk,” etc.). Most of the related projects are available on DVD — as is the CBS-aired “Comanche Moon,” as of last week. (It was released Feb. 26.) And, of course, there are always the books.

– Can you tell us what ever happened to Patrick Swayze? — Tony Laspada, Seal Beach, Calif.

The actor propelled into mega-stardom by “Dirty Dancing” has kept working. In recent years, he’s done the Hallmark Channel projects “Icon” and “King Solomon’s Mines,” and he supplied one of the voices for Disney’s direct-to-video feature “The Fox and the Hound 2.” He’s slated to appear this year opposite Forest Whitaker, Jessica Biel, Ray Liotta, Lisa Kudrow (“Friends”) and Kris Kristofferson in a Christmas Eve-set drama titled “Powder Blue.”
