Moss back with Pats

Randy Moss is staying with the New England Patriots. The defending AFC champions re-signed the record-breaking receiver on Monday to a three-year deal worth $27 million, his agent said. The signing was confirmed by the team.

Federer out after 1st round

Roger Federer is on a losing streak for the second time in four months. The top-ranked Federer, who won three Grand Slam titles last year but has struggled since the U.S. Open, lost to Andy Murray 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-4 on Monday in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Seattle signs Swoopes

The Seattle Storm have signed former WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes to a contract for the 2008 season. Swoopes, 37, has been with the Houston Comets during the franchise’s entire 11-year history and helped lead the team to the WNBA’s first four league championships.
