DISTRICT U-46

The South Elgin High School booster bash, Games Galore, for adults only will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in Villa Olivia Country Club in Bartlett. Tickets are $25. Dress code is jeans, sweat shirts and sneakers. Call Pat Collins at 847-741-8054.

Pupils from Canton Middle School and its feeder elementary schools will present a band concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Rd.

DISTRICT 54

Kindergarten registration for the 2008-09 school year will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in all district elementary schools. Bring the child’s official birth certificate, a $50 check or money order for consumable materials, and three forms of proof of residency. Parents should register at their neighborhood school, even if they are applying to a different school. Call 847-357-5087.

DISTRICT 59

Kindergarten and new pupil registration for the 2008-09 school year will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through March 14 in the district’s elementary schools. A special registration will also be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Children must be age 5 on or before Sept. 1. Bring an official copy of the child’s birth certificate, parent/guardian contact phone numbers, emergency contact name and phone number, and proof of residency. A student fee will be due at registration.

DISTRICT 158

Kindergarten registration for 2008-09 will be held this week in the Administration Building, 650 Academic Drive, Algonquin. Last names starting with A-H may register from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday; I-P from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday; and O-Z from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Children must be age 5 on or before Sept. 1. An official birth certificate and proof of residency are required. Call 847-659-6147.

A band concert, “March Madness at the Movies,” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Rd. Admission is $1. There will be free popcorn. Call 847-755-1600.

Palatine High School’s Very Interested Parents Club is holding a raffle with a grand prize of $2,000 to raise money for an after-prom event on the Odyssey cruise ship in Chicago. The Honors Music Festival featuring ensembles from all six high schools will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd., Arlington Heights. The free concert is open to the public. Call 847-718-5365.

ELGIN

Elgin Academy will hold its 31st annual extravaganza fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. March 15 in Boulder Ridge Country Club, 400 Boulder Drive, Lake in the Hills. The theme will be “Our Metamorphosis” and will highlight the opening of the Rider Family Media, Science and Fine Arts Center. A silent auction will also be held. Tickets are $125.
