Kindergarten registration for the 2008-09 school year will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in all district elementary schools. Bring the child’s official birth certificate, a $50 check or money order for consumable materials, and three forms of proof of residency. Kindergarten and new pupil registration for the 2008-09 school year will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through March 14 in the district’s elementary schools. A special registration will also be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Children must be age 5 on or before Sept. 1. Bring an official copy of the child’s birth certificate, parent/guardian contact phone numbers, emergency contact name and phone number, and proof of residency. A student fee will be due at registration.

Kindergarten registration for 2008-09 will be held this week in the Administration Building, 650 Academic Drive, Algonquin. Last names starting with A-H may register from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday; I-P from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday; and O-Z from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Palatine High School’s Very Interested Parents Club is holding a raffle with a grand prize of $2,000 to raise money for an after-prom event on the Odyssey cruise ship in Chicago.
