*A concert to benefit two Northern Illinois University-related funds will run from 3 p.m. to midnight Monday in Durty Nellie’s West Irish Pub, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine. Local bands will perform for a minimum entrance donation of $10. All cover charges as well as 20 percent of the net proceeds from food and beverage sales will be donated to the DeKalb/Sycamore Community Memorial Fund to be used for a community remembrance and the NIU February 14 Student Scholarship Fund, established in memory of the five students slain Feb. 14. *The annual Spring Fling sale featuring spring clothing for men, women and children, Easter decorations, books, jewelry and housewares will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Catchpenny Resale Shoppe, 118 E.
