Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Sean Landeta achieved his goal: He outlasted Doug Flutie. Landeta, 46, the last active player from the old USFL, officially retired from football on Thursday. The retirement coincides with the 25th anniversary of his first professional football game. His most memorable on-field moment is when he fanned on a punt in the wind of Soldier Field in a 1985 playoff game with the Bears (right), a muff that was recovered for a touchdown by Chicago.
