Robert Falls’ intensely controversial Goodman Theatre production of “King Lear” is to rise from the dead — in the nation’s capital.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company of Washington, D.C., is announcing Wednesday that Falls’ 2006 epic will be remounted on the stage of the Sidney Harman Hall in June 2009.

Stacy Keach will once again play Lear, and many members of the original Chicago cast are expected to return.
