The Chicago Housing Authority announced Thursday that it will hold forums next month to discuss proposed sweeping policy changes with public housing residents.

The meetings come amid criticism the housing agency had been doing a poor job communicating the new rules, recommended by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The CHA board has not voted whether to accept the proposed changes, which involve term limits for residents and age eligibility for senior housing.

CHA spokesman Matt Aguilar said agency officials will address residents during morning and evening sessions on April 8.

The forums are from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. Shore Drive.
