There’s a typo in the new Ernie Banks statue outside Wrigley Field. The inscription on the granite base, “Lets play two,” is missing an apostrophe. Of course, it should read “Let’s play two.” Lou Cella, the sculptor who made the Banks statue, says “Lets” will be fixed. “I’m the sculptor, I’m not a writer,” he tells the Tribune.
