THREE DOWN
The Phillies threw the ball around just about everywhere in an 8-2 loss to the Mets as they made four errors in the first three innings and starting pitcher Kyle Kendrick walked six in 2 1/3 innings.
Jeremy Accardo suffered his second defeat in as many days as he allowed four runs, including Bobby Crosby’s two-run double, in the top of the ninth in the Blue Jays’ 6-3 loss to the Athletics.
The Yankees were stumped by the Royals’ Zach Greinke, Yasuhiko Yabuta and Jimmy Gobble, who combined for seven-hit shutout. New York did not have a runner touch third base in the 4-0 loss.
