T-Pain’s wingman ways paid off Thursday.
The always helpful rapper earned a leading five BET Award nominations — but none of them for his own songs.
He received three best collaboration nominations for lending his electronically-manipulated voice to Chris Brown (“Kiss Kiss”), Kanye West (“Good Life”) and Flo Rida (“Low”), and he was nominated twice in the video of the year category.
“T-Pain is everywhere,” BET Executive Vice President Stephen Hill told The Associated Press.
Chicago’s Kanye West earned three nominations, as did Keyshia Cole, BET told AP before the official announcement on BET’s “106 & Park” on Thursday night.
Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Flo Rida received two each, AP said.

Britney Spears and Mel Gibson: The odd couple
Between guest spots on “How I Met Your Mother” and court appearances, Britney Spears has been pretty busy these days. So the pop star has taken a vacation — with Mel Gibson.
The two hopped a plane bound for Costa Rica Thursday morning, according to etonline.com. Joining the duo for the exotic mini-vacation was Spears’ dad, Jamie, and Gibson’s wife. The Spears will be at Gibson’s guests at his home in the Central American tourist hot spot. People.com reports they’ll be back next week.
In case you were wondering how the troubled stars know each other, Spears and Gibson used to live in the same Malibu community and were spotted having dinner together in March.

Marisa Miller tops Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list of beautiful women. Miller, a Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, has “thoroughly captured the imagination of the American male,” according to Maxim.
She’s humble too. “I get a kick out of it, but it would be stupid to let it go to my head. It’s modeling — I didn’t find the cure for cancer,” Miller told the mag.

Top Model is full-figured inspiration
Now that she’s on top, Whitney Thompson has found life isn’t so lonely.
Thompson, the first full-figured model to win “America’s Next Top Model,” told New York magazine she’s gotten an “incredible” response to the show.
“I’ve received mail from people all over the world who are battling eating disorders and struggling and are proud of me for having a body,” said Thompson, the Florida student who won Wednesday. “That’s just such a great feeling, having people backing you. I wish I’d had that on the show because it was so hard. It’s hard to be by yourself.”
Thompson also told New York she and the other models spent their down time playing games including Couture Twister (freezing poses and smiles) and Model-opoly.
