Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced its 2008-09 season for young adults: “The Glass Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams, directed by Yasen Peyankov (Oct. 21 to Nov. 9); and “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, directed by Michael Patrick Thornton (April 21 to May 10, 2009). … Black Ensemble Theatre will remount its production of “Those Sensational Soulful ’60s” at the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, 777 N. Green St., this summer (June 7 to Aug. 31). … Theatre-Hikes, the troupe specializing in the combination of theater and walking, is this summer presenting a theater-bike event. With a story set on a bike path in New York’s Central Park, the show “Key Exchange” is billed as the world’s first theater bike-hike, at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle over eight Saturdays (theatre-hikes.org). … Vitalist Theatre has extended its production of “A Passage to India” through May 31. … On Wednesday, the Hypocrites added more seating and three new Saturday matinees to its hitherto sold-out production of “Our Town.”
