BIN LADEN MESSAGE: Osama bin Laden says in a new audio statement that Al Qaeda will continue its holy war against Israel and its allies until it liberates Palestine. Bin Laden said the fight for the Palestinian cause is the most important factor driving Al Qaeda’s war with the West.
GITMO TRIAL: Navy Capt. Keith Allred, who is hearing the case against Osama bin Laden’s former driver, Salim Ahmed Hamdan, ruled that the trial should be postponed to July 14, pending a U.S. Supreme Court ruling. The justices are expected to decide whether Guantanamo detainees have a right to challenge their detention in U.S. civil courts.
FOOD TO NORTH KOREA: The U.S. said it has reached a deal with North Korea to provide more than 500,000 tons of food aid over the coming year.
