*Julie Robinson, a junior at Niles West High School, is one of two Illinois students to have a paper selected to go to National History Day. Julie won for her paper “Jane Underground Abortion Service.” National History Day will be held in Washington in June.
*Ami LeFevre, a teacher at Niles West High School, recently received the Davidson Award for outstanding high school chemistry teaching. The award is presented annually to the outstanding chemistry teacher in Illinois, as selected by the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois through the Illinois Chemical Education Foundation.

*Dan McKenna has been appointed executive director of St. Francis Xavier School, effective July 1. McKenna will replace Executive Director Suzanne Sullivan, who is relocating to Denver.
