Mr. Smarty Pants

Steve Carell has played a dimwitted weatherman and a virgin electronics store worker, but he said his role of action star in the upcoming “Get Smart” movie best suits his talents.

“I always knew this was where I’d end up, based on my physical gravitas,” the former Chicagoan joked with MTV.

Plus, Carell gets to kiss Anne Hathaway in the movie.

“Was it good stuff? It was very good stuff,” Carell said. “It was kinda the best sort of stuff.”

Carell also shares a bromantic moment with co-star The Rock. “Very, very, very good stuff,” Carell said. “And he smells like fresh-baked cookies.”

DIY Parents

Who says all celeb parents rely on nannies? Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are handling double-baby duty all by themselves.

“It’s just us, man. We’re figuring it out and having a great time,” Anthony said during an interview on Thursday’s “The Billy Bush Show.”

The singer says his wife is “an amazing mom” who pushes him into daddy mode for twins Max and Emme, who were born Feb. 22.

“She expects me to help, and she makes no bones about it,” he says. “From 10 p.m. to 8 [a.m.], that’s my shift.”

50 Cent’s house burns down

A multimillion-dollar Long Island home owned by 50 Cent burned to the ground Friday morning, injuring six people, including ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 11-year-old son, Marquise.

The local fire chief told Newsday that the house was quickly engulfed by flames and added, “there is a strong — strong, strong — possibility that it is suspicious.”

50 Cent last month tried to evict Tompkins and their son from the home unless she paid him $4,500 a month in rent. Tompkins followed with a suit claiming he had promised to put all or part of the house in her name. She told Newsday on Friday that she heard someone throw something in the window and set the house on fire.

50 Cent, who was on the set of a film he’s shooting in Louisiana, put out a statement expressing his concern for his son and all those injured.

Did she or didn’t she?

If Angelina Jolie is still eating for three, then “Entertainment Tonight” will have to eat its words.

The celebrity TV show published a story on its Web site early Friday morning claiming Jolie had delivered twins in France, even going so far as to report the names. They cited a “source close to Jolie.”

Just hours later, People magazine countered with its own story that Jolie was, in fact, still pregnant. People’s source? A rep for the actress.

As RedEye went to print on Friday, it was still unclear whether Jolie and Brad Pitt had welcomed their fifth and sixth children into their clan.

But one thing was clear: Either “ET” or People will have some explaining to do.

Radiohead vs. Prince

Radiohead has a message for Prince: Don’t be such a “Creep.”

The band wants Prince to “unblock” YouTube clips of his cover of Radiohead’s early hit, which Prince performed at Coachella in late April, according to The Associated Press.

Videos of the performance were quickly taken down with a message that Prince’s label, NPG Records, had removed them because of copyright violation.

But Radiohead says the song is theirs and the posted videos were shot by fans. In a recent interview, Thom Yorke said he heard about Prince’s performance and thought it was “hilarious” — and he wants to see it.

“Well, tell him to unblock it. It’s our … song.”

YouTube prohibits the posting of copyrighted material. If the site receives a complaint from a copyright owner, it usually will remove the video.
