Comic relief
Sketch group Negative Infinity debuted earlier this year with a sendup of male-on-male friendships, “DUDE! A Bro-mantic Comedy.” Now the troupe aims for extra-strength comic relief with “Super Zeroes and Altered Egos,” inspired by the box-office obsession with those who save the world and protect humankind. Drink specials include mortally delicious $2 PBR cans. 9:30 p.m. Through July 9. $10. Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, 777 N. Green St. 312-733-6000. Tickets: theaterland.com
Put it in park
Do you suffer from anxiety? Bouts of invincibility followed by shame? An insatiable thirst for ballpark beer? Sounds like you’ve got Cubs fan-itis. Commiserate with others at The Lovable Losers Literary Revue, a monthly gathering of local artists who toast the team’s losing streak with readings, historical reenactments, trivia contests and songs. Wednesday’s guests: mystery novelists D.C. Brod and Randy Richardson, author Jonathan Eig, and actors Joseph Tokarz and John B. Leen. 7:30 p.m. No cover. El Jardin Restaurant, 3335 N. Clark St. 773-528-6775.
Fashion club
We love “Sex and the City,” but the movie isn’t this week’s sole destination for fashion mavens. Pick up tips in a club setting at Electrofashion 2008, where eight emerging local designers headline a fashion show of women’s sportswear, swimwear and dresses. DJs Nando, Cedeno and Dave Moreno spin. 9 p.m. $5. Sonotheque, 1444 W. Chicago Ave. 312-226-7600.

R.S.V.P. recommended. Frankie’s Fifth Floor Pizzeria, 900 N. Michigan Ave. 312-266-2500.
