Snap on your swim cap and adjust your goggles. The Chicago Park District’s 51 outdoor pools open next week.
Open June 13 through Labor Day, all of the outdoor pools are free. The Park District’s 26 indoor pools (also free), are open year-round.
Each of the pools offers different extras. Some offer swim lessons, swim teams and water polo clubs. Others have water playgrounds, kiddie pools and water aerobics. Still others have designated adult swim times when no one younger than 18 is allowed in.
