–George Chandler of Shawnee, Kan., on the emergency room doctor who treated him after a friend accidentally fired a 2 1/2-inch nail into his head with a nail gun. The doctor did indeed use a hammer to help get the nail out, and Chandler was sent home with a few stitches, he said Wednesday on NBC’s “Today” show.
