Will love be in the air at the BET Awards later this month?
Rihanna was just announced as a performer at the June 24 show in L.A. Her very, very close friend Chris Brown also is scheduled to attend.
Rihanna and Brown have played coy about whether they’re a couple, despite photographs showing them kissing and cuddling.
But that night they might be more preoccupied with awards: She’s up for best female R&B artist, and he’s up for best male R&B artist.
Also added to the award show’s lineup on Thursday: Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson, Terrence Howard and Gabrielle Union. Comedian D.L. Hughley will host the event.
