The Bottom Lounge is back.
After a few delays, the relaunched, reloaded and relocated Bottom Lounge, which closed in 2005 on Wilton Avenue in Lakeview, is serving up drinks and hosting bands. This weekend the lounge debuts the Volcano Room Rum Bar with the Chicago Rum Festival, hosted by the Ministry of Rum (whoa, that sounds like a fun workplace). Taste more than 50 rums, cachacas and more, have dinner and meet the people who make these sugar-cane spirits. Reggae singer Lady Ann headlines Saturday night.
Why Do It Now: It’s rum and live music; ’nuff said.
