Five years ago, Vanity Fair tapped the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Shia LaBeouf and the Olsen twins as Hollywood’s rising stars.
Now the magazine has crowned a new generation of fresh-faced celebrities as “Hollywood’s New Wave.”
In its new issue, Vanity Fair features 27 young actors poised to take Tinseltown by storm — from Judd Apatow-anointed Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (a.k.a. McLovin’) to the Jonas Brothers and the cast of “Gossip Girl.”
Gracing the cover are four young women, some of them not yet household names. A brief introduction, with trivia:
1. Amanda Seyfried, 22, who played the ditzy Karen in “Mean Girls” and who stars in the upcoming “Mamma Mia!” On her iPod: Folk music.
2. Emma Roberts, 17, who played the title role in “Nancy Drew.” Her style icons: “I love the way Mary-Kate and Ashley dress.”
3. Blake Lively, 20, who plays Serena on “Gossip Girl.” Her favorite snack: “Whatever’s greasier and cheesier the better.”
4. Kristen Stewart, 18, who played Tracy in “Into the Wild.” Her car: “A ’95 Toyota Tacoma.”
