The company still is searching for a new artistic director. … The Hypocrites will produce its first musical during the 2008-09 season. Artistic director Sean Graney will direct Bertolt Brecht’s “The Threepenny Opera,” beginning Sept. 2. And in June 2009, Graney will direct a three-person, promenade version of “Oedipus the King” at the Chopin Studio. … Steppenwolf has extended its production of Tracy Letts’ “Superior Donuts” through Aug. 24. … Cirque du Soleil’s “Kooza” has also extended through Aug. 24.
