“The Hills” star Lauren Conrad says she’s “extremely hurt and disappointed” about rumors she didn’t commit to an appearance at a benefit for the Humane Society in NYC on Tuesday. “Anyone who knows me, knows this is not the kind of person I am or who my parents raised me to be,” Conrad wrote on her MySpace blog. “It’s just embarrassing that people are saying these things about me.”
