A Chicago man died Saturday of head trauma after being assaulted, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Javier Cruz, 31, of the 2600 block of West Luther Street was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m. at Rush University Medical Center.
Cruz was assaulted near West Cermak Road and South California Avenue, Chicago police said, declining to give further details. No one has been arrested, police said.
