The Taming of the Shrew: As part of its ongoing series of classical theater for those who hate to sit still indoors, the Chicago company Theatre-Hikes takes on William Shakespeare’s notorious comedy. On an Average Day: Chicago has a new Equity-affiliated theater troupe with a mission to connect the folks who live along the 2,448 miles of the old Mother Road: Historic Route 66. It’s the baby of Chicago actor Stef Tovar. And its first show is John Kolvenbach’s mystery piece involving two estranged brothers.
