As a teenage lifeguard on Martha’s Vineyard, Jake Gyllenhaal found himself in at least one sticky situation.
“Someone got stung by a jellyfish, and I peed on their leg to counteract the sting. Otherwise, [my summer] was pretty tame,” Gyllenhaal told the New York Post.

M-; David Duchovny had to enforce the no-topless bathing rule as a New York lifeguard. “[I had] to go tell the ladies to cover up. You’d think that was cool, but at 14 it was mortifying. They’d then cover their nipples with shells. I mean, the last thing a teenage kid wants is to debate with a half-naked woman.”
