Thomas E. Smock, age 71, of Manteno, formerly of Darien, passed away on August 12, 2008 in Kankakee, IL. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bourbonnais Chapel of theSchrefflerFuneral with a funeral service on Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. following the funeral service.
Thomas was a Stationary Engineer, a member of the I.U.O.E. Local 399, a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, and served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Stella, nee Maciuszonec; his children, Rick (Kelly) Ermilio of Darien,Karen (Shaun) Casey of Manteno, and Ken (Melissa) Smock of Darien; his grandchildren, Tony and Nicole Ermilio, Joey and Jessica Casey; and in death by his parents Frank and Edith Smock; and a brother-in-law Jerry Sklenar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Masonic Medical Centre for children would be appreciated.
