The basics: Whether you’re seeking new baubles for your jewelry box or inspiration to start your own craft project, this 23rd annual fair is not to be missed. More than 175 artists line park paths, displaying all manner of artwork and performing poetry, theater, and live music on several stages.

Chicago Reggae Festival

Fourth Annual FlavorFest
Whole Foods Market throws a party in Trebes Park with cooking demos, free organic food and drink samples, live music, beer and food vendors. The Smithereens headline Saturday. 11 a.m. Saturday-Sunday. $5 donation. 2250 N. Clifton Ave.
Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest
The seventh annual arts smorgasbord in Rogers Park includes more than 100 vendors and 35 bands, plus DJs, food, beer and wine vendors. 6 p.m. Friday; noon Saturday-Sunday. Glenwood Avenue between Lunt and Farwell Avenues.
Taste of Greece
Greektown takes the party outdoors with music and dance performances. Neighborhood spots such as Artopolis, Athena, Greek Islands, Parthenon, Roditys and Venus supply the food, beer and wine. Opa! Noon Saturday-Sunday. Halsted Street from Monroe to Van Buren Streets.
