Ben Sheets gave up five runs on five hits in six innings in the Brewers’ 5-2 loss to the Astros. It was just the fourth time in 25 starts this season that Sheets has yielded five or more runs.
Ex-Cub Sean Gallagher was ripped for 10 runs on 11 hits in five innings as the A’s lost 13-2 to the Twins. Gallagher’s winless streak stretched to six starts. He hasn’t pitched more than 5 1/3 innings in any of them.
