The U.S. women’s beach volleyball team have won their second consecutive gold medal, playing through a steady rain to beat Wang Jie and Tian Jia of China 21-18, 21-18.

Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles and Wallace Spearmon of the U.S. finished second and third in the 200 meters final before being disqualified for stepping on the line. That handed defending champion Crawford the silver and Dix the bronze.
