It’s only natural that the “Broom Corn Capital of the World” would host a sweeping contest during its annual festival dedicated to the cultivated sorghum found in brooms. What’s the grand prize? A clean floor? Joking aside, this festival looks ahead to the change of the seasons. So wave goodbye to summer while taking in a kiddie tractor pull and enjoying the sounds of country singer Jake Owen.
