A Naperville man who died Sunday morning while running a half-marathon died of a heart attack, said Lake County Coroner Richard Keller.

Jeffrey Randall, 44, was running in the Lake Zurich Alpine Races half-marathon when he collapsed, Keller said. He was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, where he was pronounced dead about 10:35 a.m.

An autopsy done Monday showed Randall had undiagnosed heart disease and high blood pressure, the coroner said.
