… As the plummeting Diamondbacks suffered their sixth straight loss, and 10th consecutive on the road, to fall 3 1/2 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West, which they once seemed a lock to win.
Catcher Chris Coste and pitcher J.C. Romero seemed irritated with each other — and Jimmy Rollins with Shane Victorino — in Florida’s 3-run ninth as the Phillies lost 7-3. Next: the Brewers.
Mike Timlin gave up a three-run homer to Carlos Pena in the 14th as the Rays won 4-2 to drop Boston 2 1/2 back in the AL East. Jason Hammel escaped a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the 14th.
