Swamped?

That’s our guys “makin’ it rain.” Meanwhile, Elliott sorts geeks from nerds in this week’s “Geek To Me” column. Sign up at redeyechicago.com/fiveonfive.

What is Muhsin Muhammad saying about the Bears today?

I dunno. If a former Bears receiver falls in the Carolina woods, does he make a sound?

The Chicago Bears are where wide receivers go to die … if they had any.

Probably what everyone is saying … that they choked in Carolina.

Same as it ever was.

Carolina is where Bears quarterbacks go to die.

With two games in the books, what do or don’t you like about the Bears?

They need more cowbell.

I fear the inevitable chants of “We want Rex” if the Bears lose another game.

I don’t like the fact that they did their best Cubs impersonation: Collapsed in the second half.

I don’t like that they fooled me into thinking they’re worth spit.

At least Kyle Orton proved his arm strength … by overthrowing Marty Booker.

How does a coach get injured?

Usually, it’s in one of those bizarre Nintendo Wii incidents.

Easy. I get an ulcer just watching Notre Dame

football this year.

Apparently, if you are Charlie Weis, just by just showing up.

By sending in a play all by himself, but after the play already started.

Charlie Weis didn’t look like the most mobile guy in the first place.

To say USC beat Ohio State is like saying …

… I GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL!

… the Cubs will break the

100-year curse.

… cupcakes are fattening. Duh!

… we had a little rain this weekend.

… Soxman is a little eccentric.

How did Michael Phelps do on “Saturday Night Live”?

Who knew he could read cue cards underwater as well?

It was pretty much sink or swim.

AWKWARD! Let’s just say that he’d better not quit his day job.

He was remarkably humorless. Yet he was still funnier than half the cast.

Was he nervous? He had more false starts than the Bears-Panthers game.
